Welcome to first of two RAOK Galleries. These galleries display the pressies I use as a member of RAOK to do my ....whoops those words are the registered service mark of another group... and to sign member's guestbooks. I have a postcard mill where I use thsee pressies in cards as well.

If you are interested in using these pressies, you need to know how to type. The URL for all of them is http://tacheiru.us/unfettered/name of pressie For example if a pressie ] is called frink.jpg the code for a guestbook is <img src="htp://tacheiru.us/unfettered/frink.jpg" alt="a graphic called frink" align="you pick" > Align can be either, left, right or center and the alt message varies with the graphic. For use with cards, just put the graphic's URL into the "custom image" slot. Bandwidth at tacheiru.us is unmetered and remote loading is permitted so you can use these images freely. Enjoy!

And Now for Something Really Special

yellow protea get well soon This pressie is called rsquare18.jpg Pressies do not usually inspire poetry but this particular one did. The yellow protea photo from which I made this pressie was taken by Robert Thomas Orr (1908-1994) and Margaret Orr of the California Academy of Sciences. The permissions on the picture required that I give them credit. That and the picture itself inspired the following poem.

Yellow Protea

You left this for me.
Fluffy and yellow like a furry smile that says "pet me."
Green leaves like the rhododendrons of my childhood
On a lush tropical landscape where the sun always shines.

You have no forwarding address.
I had to explain to the administrator why I wanted it so badly.
Had to tell him what a pressie was.
I think I am the first customer he has met who makes or uses them.

He learned a new word tonight.
I wish I could have spoken to you though.
I wish I could have known what you thought when you froze that
Gold and green moment beneath that blue sky into a gift.
I wonder if you shared my joy and I yours.
I hope somehow you do
Despite my unanswered question.
