Reducing Lag

To keep Eddesign Island a pleasant place for all tenants, all tenants need to do their part to reduce lag. How you reduce lag is up to you. We do not police content. We permit breedables, dance balls, games etc... We still, however, care about lag. Lag is a number, and you can measure it.

more like normal stats When the island is not crowded click ctrl-shift-1 to see statistics. Scroll down through the statistics and click on Time to expand the display. When the island is quiet, your stats should look like the ones at the right. Total sim time should stay below 24ms and spare time should be at least 2ms. If there is no spare time leftover, you have severe lag. If lag on the sim rises, Edde or Marco will ask you to cut back on scripts, textures, and crowds to help bring it under control.

This is lag at a very crowded club. When there is a crowd, lag goes up. This is why it is not a good idea to schedule more than one large party at the same time. Please cooperate with your neighbors.

This is lage from too many scripts The image at the right shows what happens when you have lag from too many scripts. The server takes a lot of time to process the scripts, and leaves avies with no time to spare. Avies can not walk and can not teleport. Please use scripts responsibly.
